Hazel Jackman founded Hazelwood Dance Studios in 1991 and is a graduate of London College of Dance and Drama. Her love and enthusiasm for dance and theatre can be seen in the versatility, dedication and successes of her students. Hazel is a fully qualified teaching member of the Royal Academy of Dance and Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance, and holds qualifications in Applied Anatomy and Physiology, and the History and Development of Western Dance.

Hannah Francis trained at Bird College before working professionally as a dancer in the USA for many years. On relocating to Italy she founded, developed and directed her own school ‘Accademia Royal Di Danza’ before returning to Suffolk in 2017. Hannah brings her wealth of experience and knowledge to pupils, pre-vocational students and adults at Hazelwood and is currently studying for a BA(Hons) in Dance Education with the Royal Academy of Dance.

Abigail Waite trained at Tiffany Theatre College before dancing professionally both in the UK and overseas. On her return to England, Abigail gained ISTD teaching qualifications in Ballet, Modern and Tap, and taught throughout Norfolk and Suffolk before joining Hazelwood Dance Studios in 2013. Abigail also holds an Acrobatic Arts teaching certificate and the Fellowship teaching qualification of the ISTD in Modern Theatre Dance.
RAD Ballet & Choreography
Rachel Canham completed the three-year BA (Hons) Ballet Education course at the Royal Academy of Dance, which combined intensive ballet training, academic modules and work placements in both dance and state schools. Rachel joined Hazelwood in 2013 as a fully qualified teaching member of the Royal Academy of Dance, and is currently studying for a Masters degree in Dance Science. Her specific area of interest is pointe work and during her spare time she enjoys sharing her love of dancing with her young daughter.
