Activities

As a member of Hazelwood you can benefit from a variety of new experiences!

We offer new and exciting opportunities to perform in shows and competitions, as well as hosting holiday workshops and fundraising events.  Our pupils regularly audition and appear at Theatre Royal BSE and the Ipswich Regent during Pantomime season. Many have danced with The National Youth Ballet of Great Britain and English Youth Ballet. Our dancers have taken part in national competitions including All England Dance and the ISTD Star Tap Challenge, plus local events such as Bury’s Got Talent, which offer invaluable stage experience. Our festival pupils are invited to take part in The Hazelwood Show which is staged at Theatre Royal BSE each July; with the support of parents and teachers, these shows have raised over £27,000 for The Hazelwood Scholarship Fund which provides financial assistance to talented students moving on to full time accredited dance colleges.
